International Community Condemns Israeli Aggression on Gaza


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Uakchott July 14 (QNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mauritania has condemned the brutal military operation launched by Israel against the Palestinian people.

A ministry statement carried by the Mauritanian news agency said that Mauritania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation strongly condemns the brutal military operation launched by Israel against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and confirmed that the policy of repression torture destruction and mass murder pursued by Israel against the Palestinian people will have dire consequences for the security and stability of the region and will contribute to undermining the path of peaceful negotiation process.

The ministry reiterated the support of Mauritania's leadership government and people to the Palestinian people to obtain all their legitimate rights in the establishment of an independent state on its entire territory with Jerusalem as its capital. (QNA)



China Urges Israeli-Palestinian Ceasefire

In the same context China called for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians as their clashes have caused heavy casualties.

A Chinese Middle East envoy Wu Sike said China is deeply concerned about the escalating conflict between the two sides which should be resolved through peace talks according to China's (Xinhua) News Agency.

Tensions along the Israel-Gaza border have been mounting after Israel blamed Islamist militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip for the abduction and murder of three Jewish teenagers last month.

China has been opposed to the use of force against civilians and believed that the violence will only deepen their hatred and hostility Wu told the Chinese media in Iran.

The ongoing conflict highlighted the importance and urgency of resumption of Israeli-Palestinian talks he said calling on both sides to exercise utmost restraint.

The Chinese envoy is on a Middle East tour which has taken him to Iraq and Turkey. (QNA)
