Dubai's gov't gifts land worth USD500m to Emiratis


(MENAFN) Dubai's government granted over USD500 million worth of land to local citizens in the first six months of the current year, including ten plots on Palm Jumeirah, according to Arabian Business.

Dubai gave away 165 plots of land during the period from January 1 and June 30, 2014, a fall of 32 percent compared to the same half last year.

Analysis of the data showed the majority of the plots were awarded in Mirdif, where 12 pieces of land worth USD10,133,029.57 were gifted. Second was Al Thanyah Fifth with 12 plots worth USD15.7 million, followed by Al Barsha South Fifth, Al Thanayah Fourth, and the iconic Palm Jumeirah.
