Iran's production of crude steel up 9 percent


(MENAFN) Iran"s crude steel output saw 9 percent rise in the last Iranian year, which ended on March 20, 2014, according to Tehran Times. Iran's production of crude steel reached 15.64 million tons in the last Iranian year compared to 14.89 million tons a year earlier. China, Japan, and the U.S. were the three biggest crude steel producers in 2013, with 779 million tons, 110 million tons, and 87 million tons of output, respectively.
