US carmakers eye growth in Russia


(MENAFN) Carmakers in the US say the Russian market is their next big frontier despite sanctions against Russia due to the Ukraine crisis, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Experts said that the Russian market is far too big and important and it cannot be ignored by carmakers. A professor at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business said: "The Russian market is going to be larger than Germany." He added that the structure of the Russian auto industry is in flux as demand for imports increases despite barriers imposed by the Russian government.
