(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) on April 11 - Champions League holders Bayern Munich will face Real Madrid in the semi-final of this year's competition. The draw which was held Friday also pitted Chelsea against Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid will play the first leg at home against the holders. Madrid have reached the semi-final in the last four years but failed to reach the finals in any of those. Real Madrid will want to avenge their loss to Bayern in the semi-final two years ago. The Madrid players failed to hold their nerves and were eventually knocked out through penalty kicks. In the other match dark horse Atletico Madrid will face Chelsea at home in the first leg of the tie. It will be the first time in 40 years that Atletico reach the final of the UEFA Champions League. They reached the final once before back in the 70s. Chelsea on the other hand have an opportunity to avenge their loss 1-4 to Atletico when they met in the European Super Cup in 2012.
