Qatar Participates in GCC Municipal Work Conference and Exhibition

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 09 - The State of Qatar represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has taken part in the 8th GCC Municipal Conference and Exhibition which was held in Abu Dhabi. The delegation comprised Director of Doha Municipality Mohamed Ahmed Al Sayed Director of Rayan Municipality Rashid Said Al Nuaimi Director of Dhayen Municipality Fahd Mohamed Al Qahtani Director of Al Khor and Al Dhakhira Municipality Jumaa Khamis Al Meraikhi Khalid Al Qeraini Head of the Municipal Council Affairs at the office of the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning and Liaison Officer at Doha Municipality Sultan Khamis. The GCC Municipal Conference and Exhibition-a platform established to facilitate discussion and knowledge sharing between international leaders specialists and professionals with regards to the municipal vision of the GCC countries-is being held in Abu Dhabi for the first time from 8-9 April 2014. The 8th edition of the GCC Municipal Conference and Exhibition focused on the broad theme of "Sustainable Municipal Services to Enhance the Quality of Life" under which key areas of focus will be: smart government; best practices in municipal projects; and community partnership and customer service. The conference also focused on the private sector collaborations with municipalities and local government to enable new and more efficient services. About 3000 people were expected to attend the two-day event which ended on Wednesday
