His latest release maan karate now playing at theatres in the uae promises clean fun in the usual mould of his earlier releases but with a twist.

The censor board was extremely impressed with the clean narration of the movie by debutant director thirukumaran which too comes in favour of maan karate at a time when gory violence and suggestive comments continue to rule the screen.
The film also highlights the emergence of anirudh as one of the most sought-after music composers. having shaken off his kolaveri identity with a number of hummable hits his music is appealing to today’s youth. he brings singers from bollywood and when given a chance makes ‘special appearances’ in the movies too.
But maan karate raises high expectations for its crew too: director thirukumaran was an assistant of superhit director ar murugadoss who pens the story for his protégé. according to reports thirukumaran has developed the story into a fascinating script which was one of the reasons hansika opted to act in the film from three other scripts she heard the same day.
Shot extensively in chennai bangalore and in malta the film’s climax shot was filmed at a lavishly designed set.
