(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday with US Democratic Senator Tim Kaine and independent Senator Angus King.
During the meeting, Abbas briefed the two senators on the latest developments of the peace process and efforts in this regard, Palestinian news agency WAFA reporte
Abbas pointed to the US efforts to push forward the peace process, stressing the Palestinian side's keenness on the success of the negotiations in order to establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital based on 1967 borders.
