Real estate loans by Qatari banks hit USD23b


(MENAFN) Assets and liabilities of Qatari banks went up 1.5 percent, or USD3.5 billion, reaching USD249 billion last month versus USD245.5 billion in the month before it, with total credit facilities to the real estate sector hitting USD23.2 billion, The Peninsula Qatar reported



Qatar Central Bank (QCB) released figures that show that Banks' deposits at the QCB fell to USD8.5 billion in December. Government and public sector deposits have also decreased reaching USD62.6 billion



However, total government and the public sector loans have increased by USD544 million reaching USD65.2 billion
