Home loans in Australia up 1.1 percent

(MENAFN) Figures by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) show that home loan approvals in the country went up 1.1 percent in November month-on-month, Xinhua reported

The number of home loans increased to a total of 52,912 in the month. The value of housing finance commitments rose to USD24.3 billion, registering a 1.7 percent increase

Economists say that the strengthening housing sector in the country indicates that an additional interest rate cut is unlikely this year
