Pakistan receives USD554 m loan from IMF


(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has lent as much as USD554 million for Pakistan as a second tranche of the USD6.7 billion bailout loan, according to Arab News. The IMF made an initial payment of USD540 million in September in order to improve economic reforms. A spokesman for the State Bank of Pakistan (central bank) said: "Pakistan received the second tranche from IMF under the ongoing EFF on December 23."
