Arab Monetary Fund Grants Tunisia USD147.4 million loan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has granted Tunisia a loan worth USD147.4 million under two agreements signed on Friday between the Fund and the Central Bank of Tunisia . The two agreements were signed by Governor of Central Bank of Tunisia Chadli Ayari and the AMF Board Chairman and Director General Dr. Jassim Al Mannai , who is currently visiting Tunis. The first agreement's USD 3.55 million were allocated for facilitating the structural adjustment of the financial and banking sector while the second agreement totaling USD 92.1 million were earmarked for supporting reforms in the area of tax policy and the development of tax administration.
