(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Asian expatriate was arrested by anti-narcotics men with 1000 narcotic pills and 25 grams of heroin plus 100 grams of other drug substances. Officers from the General Drug Control Department headed by Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghanam raided the suspect's apartment based on information the sector received about his drug-peddling activities.
Sources said detectives had previously placed the suspect under surveillance until securitymen were convinced about raiding his apartment. Guarded by search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution, the officers recovered the aforementioned drug substances. During interrogation, the suspect confessed peddling in narcotics. He was referred with the items to the concerned authority.
