(MENAFN Press) Following the incredible success and response to its Ramadan home renovation campaign, 'Feekom Al Khair w Al Barakah' ('with your goodness and blessings'), du has announced it will extend the initiative until 30 September.

This decision was taken based on the incredible response and donations received so far, with the campaign proceedings currently exceeding AED10,307,940. By extending the campaign, du is allowing more people to touch the lives of Emiratis in need, by contributing to a worthwhile cause that is for the benefit of UAE society.

du has donated AED700,000 to the cause with the support of its Emirati Plan customers (5% of every Emirati Plan subscription is retained as a donation to be used towards charitable causes in the UAE), as well as an additional AED500,000 to help renovate even more homes.

Ahmad Bin Byat, Chairman, du, said; "The people of the UAE have demonstrated their generosity by donating such a substantial amount into our home renovation fund. This demonstrates their allegiance with the vision of the UAE leadership and the government, who have established a flourishing welfare state that has provided benefits to us all. Our belief is that it is our collective responsibility to respond to the call of our leadership in maintaining our society's values and attributes of equality, security and stability. We have the ability to touch the lives of our fellow Emiratis by making a contribution to initiatives such as 'Feekom Al Khair w Al Barakah', to exercise our power to make a difference."

Contributions to 'Feekom Al Khair w Al Barakah' can be made via two convenient channels: through Emirates Islamic Bank Account number 0071-711687-002 (IBAN: AE09 0340 0000 7171 1687 002), or by SMS donation, through which du customers can SMS 'Home' to 8000 to receive the donations instructions.

For further information on du's home renovation initiative, please email CSR@du.ae. Additionally, the Ministry of Public Works invites people to call 8006679 for any questions they might have.
