(MENAFN Press) Warba Bank, the recently opened Islamic bank in Kuwait, announced today the launch of nine banking cards catering to its retail customers.
The bank is offering five debit cards aligned to bank accounts: standard debit cards; 'Lamar' card for ladies; 'Shabab Warba' for young people; 'Tala' card for children; and 'Safwa' for clients seeking elite services.
The cards are considered part of the special services offered by the bank to its customers, enabling them to transfer their salaries to their accounts, in addition to receiving multi-purpose ATM cards for cash withdrawal and to pay for purchases through various points of sale both locally and internationally.
'Safwa' card holders will also have the privilege to access airport lounges in the Middle East.
Adnan Salman Al Salem, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Warba Bank, said: "Warba Bank's suite of nine personal banking cards has been designed to meet the highest international standards, and compete with the best products available in the market today.
Furthermore, although our cards offer a wide array of value added benefits, they are available to our customers with competitive fees."
Warba Bank has also launched three credit cards: the 'Classic' card, the 'Gold' card, and the 'Platinum' card through which customers can choose their preferred type of payment: installments or full payment.
"The bank's credit cards are unique for their granted credit ceiling and the freedom offered to choose the best way to pay back the due balance either in full amount or in installments without added costs, which complies with the principles of the Islamic Sharia," explained Al Salem.
"Besides its distinctive contemporary design, the cards operate with the latest smart chip technology, providing trust and security for the client when used locally or internationally."
'VISA Platinum' card holders can enjoy unconditional access to over 600 VIP airport lounges and more than 90 international airports in 300 cities with the full utilization of the leisure services offered, regardless of the type of the air carrier and the ticket booked.
Warba Bank has also launched its VISA prepaid card, which is topped up from personal account transfers, helping a customer control their amount of spending by determining the ceiling of their expenditure.
The card provides maximum security features to enjoy shopping locally, internationally, or via the internet.
It can also be used for local cash withdrawal from Warba Bank's ATMs, or internationally from any ATM machine that carries the international VISA Card logo.
Credit card and prepaid card holders can enjoy 'My Box' service from Posta Plus, the delivery service company in Kuwait. '
My Box' provides two local delivery addresses in the US and UK, which can be used to direct all online purchases and regular mails to the subscriber's door step in Kuwait.
Meanwhile, customers from the age of 18 and above can make use of prepaid cards that enjoy the electronic smart chip technology with maximum security.
