(MENAFN - Arab News) The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) ended without any significant change yesterday, as it retreated to 7,137.81 points, which was roughly where it started the session.

The index set out positively yesterday but suddenly changed its direction toward south, reflecting a negative slope closed red, down less than half point merely.

Sectoral performance was mixed, as the losses made by the Real Estate (-1.11 percent) and Petrochemical Industries (-0.41 percent) being offset by rise in Media (1.91 percent) and Insurance (1 percent).

The market breadth was slightly negative with 70 stocks witnessing declines against 66 stocks registering advances and the prices of 18 companies remained unchanged.

Six out of top ten market cap companies ended the day in green. Kingdom Holding and Samba Financial Group performed well relatively, achieving a growth of 1.66 percent and 1.25 percent respectively.

Only Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) and SABB among heavyweights closed in the red zone, declining by 0.9 percent for the day.

Insurance stocks regained their topping position, with Gulf General Insurance surged 9.78 percent and Al Ahli Takaful by 9.75 percent.

On the worst side, ACE Arabia Insurance continued its downward fall for the third straight day, topping the decliner chart with 7.88 percent negative change.
