(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Minister of Housing Affairs and State Minister of National Assembly Affairs Shueib Al-Muweizri will not submit his resignation to HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak until the end of the official working hours on Thursday, reports Al-Jaridah daily quoting governmental sources.

They said, as per the procedures followed in such cases, Al-Muweizri did not resign as he issued a number of promotions on Thursday such as the appointment of a new director for his office and other promotions benefitting the heads of departments in Public Authority for Housing Welfare.

They indicated that the resignation of Al-Muweizri is merely a show aimed at gaining the public sympathy to rejoin the race of parliamentary elections particularly after he announced that he would neither compete in such elections again nor search for a chance to rejoin the ministry again.

In another development, MP Saleh Ashour said, "As per my knowledge, Parliament Speaker Jassem Al-Khorafi did not accept to hold the 2009 Parliament and to dissolve it. Neither he nor we will accept to be a puppet in the hands of a government that lacks credibility."

MP Musallam Al-Barrak says it is an insult to the Kuwaiti nation to call back a parliament filled with bribe-takers even though it was toppled by free will in Erada Square.

He stressed that the government has to issue a decree to dissolve the parliament that had polluted the political environment and cheapened the Constitution.

Furthermore, 2012 Parliament MP Dr Obeid Al-Wasmi said the decree to dissolve the National Assembly is correct, stressing that it was not stipulated in the decree to have an existing or formed government.
Meanwhile, in a press statement, MP Waleed Al-Tabtabaei said some Iraqi newspapers are cheering over the dissolution of the Kuwait parliament, alleging that the step to dissolve the parliament is to cut the influence of Saudi Arabia and Qatar in Kuwait.

"If our stance to stand with Bahrain against the Iranian danger and support the Syrian nation against the heinous crimes committed by its regime results from the influence of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, then it is welcome. However, the Kuwaiti parliament is a pioneer in leading the Gulf stances."
