(MENAFN - Arab Times) Boubyan Bank (the Fastest Growing Islamic Bank in Kuwait) announced the launch of the new campaign for its customers of premium credit cardholders who will receive a cash back of 5 percent of the value of their purchases, which will be credited back to their cards, whether the payment made using the credit card is made inside or outside Kuwait.

In a press conference held on this occasion, Abdullah Al-Najran Al-Tuwaijri, GM - Consumer Banking Group, said that the offer that will start as of 21 of this month and will be available till 20 October 2012 comes as a reward to the Bank's customers for using its credit cards and in appreciation to their loyalty to the Bank, its products and services.

"We had extensive thoughts about the best way to reward our customers and extend a token of our appreciation to them as they deserve really the best and it is our role to be always up to their expectations and to prove to them that Boubyan Bank is indeed the right choice," he added.

Al-Tuwaijri indicated that the launch of the Campaign coincides with the beginning of the Summer season in which many people love to travel abroad and thus use credit cards in many transactions like air booking, hotel and resort reservation, car rental as well as their various shopping tours around the world.

Explaining the promotion's details, Al-Tuwaijri said: "It is quite a simple matter: the more shopping you make using the Bank's various credit cards (Gold, Platinum & Infinite) whether inside or outside Kuwait during the mentioned period, the more CashBack you will automatically receive at 5 percent of the value of purchases, which will be credited back to your card account."

He also added that many of the Bank's customers may have the VISA Classic Card but yet can benefit from the promotion through changing to the VISA Gold Card by visiting the Bank's branches or contacting the Tele-Banking Service on 1820082.

In reply to a question about the benefits of Boubyan credit cards and the criteria that make it the best in kind, Al-Tuwaijri pointed out that no profits or interests are charged on these cards in addition to the option of payment at different monthly installment rates and the ability to monitor all transactions through the different electronic channels like Boubyan Mobile Banking, Customer Service Center, Internet Banking Service... etc.

Besides, Platinum and Infinite Cards give their holders the benefit of free travel insurance and free access to businessmen halls inside the different airports all over the world, and free parking service at many shopping complexes and other locations in Kuwait.

About the interest in using credit cards in the Kuwaiti market, Al-Tuwaijri commented that it has become now known for all through the figures and statistics that Kuwait is among the fastest growing countries in the region in terms of the interest in using credit cards of all types and categories; the fact that enhances the "plastic money" culture which is widely spread around the world, especially in developed countries, as a substitute for paper or traditional money.

"The Kuwaiti customer has become aware of the importance of credit cards due to the easy use combined with high security as compared to traditional money, as losing the card does not cause any loss to the customer who can suspend it at any time," he added.

Al-Tuwaijri showed that the trend to use credit cards is so expansive that it will be difficult in the future to process very simple transactions like booking an air ticket or reserving a hotel room without a bank card.
