(MENAFN - Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The tenth anniversary edition of Automechanika Middle East, the premier dedicated trade platform for the automotive aftermarket in the wider Middle East region, is set to be a resounding success, given the preliminary indications and ongoing exhibitor interest, says organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt.
Current trends indicate that the 2012 edition of the foremost trade gathering of the regional aftermarket, is expected to be 17% larger than last year, with exhibitors having already signed up for 98% of the available space, which spans over nine halls, a full two months before the exhibition flags off.
"Closely involved and growing along with the development of the regional industry, Automechanika Middle East has reflected the evolution of the Middle East into a market of international importance over the last ten years," said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. "Today the show is reputed as being the business and networking platform that plays a vital role in facilitating decisions that will help shape this sector in the region," he added.
Automechanika Middle East will also feature a 36% larger German Pavilion, with the organiser attributing this growth to the dynamic nature of the regional market which attracts stiff competition for regional distributorship rights, many of which are coming up for negotiation.
With its region-wide reach, Automechanika Middle East has a participation of around 90% international exhibitors and continues to attract manufacturers and suppliers of auto parts and aftermarket services from across the world, that are keen to tap into a market that continues to grow and develop.
The trade exhibition enjoys the support of government authorities and the 10th edition is once again held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, President of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline. The exhibition also enjoys the official support of Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC).
Today, Automechanika Middle East is the leading industry trade fair for automotive components, accessories, garage and garage equipment as well as refuelling and car washing. It allows seamless access to all Middle Eastern markets through the business and trade hub of Dubai and draws in important buyers from markets which are tradi-tionally more difficult to reach in the region.
