FIFA's 2011 profit up to USD36m

(MENAFN) FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, said that during last year, the association's profit grew to USD36 million, reported AP.

Blatter added that revenue in the period rose to USD1.07 billion, whereas the football association spent USD1.034 billion.

He also said that FIFA spent USD428 million on 2014 World Cup expenses and USD183 million on development, including USD31 million on its Goal program that funds projects in developing nations.

It is worth noting that FIFA doesn't pay tax due to its status as a not-for-profit association in Swiss law, investing its revenues in soccer development and running costs.
