Audi's 2011 profit hits USD7.2b 

(MENAFN) Audi said that operating profit in 2011 hit a new record of USD7.2 billion, and 2012's should remain at the same level, reported Reuters.

The automaker added that in the period, operating margin expanded to 12.1 percent, whereas sales increased to 1.3 million vehicles.

The Ingolstadt-based company also said that at the end of 2011, net cash grew to more than USD21 billion.

It is worth noting that the Volkswagen brand plans to meet its 2015 target of selling 1.5 million cars in 2014 at the latest.
