(MENAFN - Arab News) The 11th Arabian Society for Human Resource Management (ASHRM) International Conference & Exhibition will take place in Abu Dhabi on March 25"28.
President and ASHRM 2012 Conference Chair Fouzi A. Bubshait said a major challenge for all countries in the region is how to achieve full utilization of each nation's human capital.
ASHRM2012 will provide an opportunity to discuss this very important issue by examining the role that each of the major stakeholder groups, including business and industry, academia, and government agencies, have on influencing the human capital supply/demand equation.
He said: "Both the theme for the conference, economic growth through HR, and the conference program resulted from an extensive consultative process involving many HR practitioners, senior executives, HR gurus, and academics from all parts of the globe."
Talking on the objectives of the event, Bubshait said that as with the last ASHRM conference, the aim was to connect regional HR challenges and issues with potential solutions from an array of international and regional experts and HR practitioners.
The focus on economic growth for this conference also incorporates the emphasis of the last conference to include more pressing concerns surrounding national and regional opportunities and constraints.
According to the organizers, this year's conference will deal with, among others, sub-themes such as economic growth through HR, the business environment, HR service delivery and talent management.
The four sub-themes are linked to the notion that sustainable economic growth can be achieved organically through the application of appropriate HR practices that continually connect with organizational strategic goals.
