(MENAFN - Jordan Times) Jordan Customs Department (JCD) Director General Ghaleb Sarayreh on Tuesday authorised the office at El Hassan Industrial Estate to take all measures needed to facilitate procedures for clearing of goods.

The JCD chief said the step is in line with policy to streamline customs services, save investors' time and effort, and adhere to the best customs clearance procedures.

Sarayreh entrusted the office in Irbid with regulating and completing transit-entry data, and with completing all required data on the local consumption of foodstuffs produced by factories within El Hassan Industrial Estate, after obtaining the necessary approvals, according to a JCD statement issued this week.

Sarayreh said the JCD is constantly developing and updating its operations to stimulate and encourage investments through providing distinguished customs services that meet the requirements for comprehensive development.

The JCD also holds continued meetings with the private sector to eliminate obstacles facing investors, he indicated, pointing out that its partnership council with the private sector represents a real opportunity to evaluate problems and provide appropriate solutions.
