(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Reflecting confidence in Indian real estate, the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry, or MCHI, organised India Realty Expo 2012 Dubai, and has been attended by serious property buyers.
The event was inaugurated by P. Rajgopalan, Head of Chancery of the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Commending the MCHI and developers participating in the event, he said the show would be a helping hand for non-resident Indians, or NRIs, who are looking at buying a "home, back home".
"The inauguration has seen visits by serious buyers. MCHI, the representative body of Indian developers and builders from Mumbai, suburbs and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region [MMR] has organised this edition of the India Realty Expo 2012 Dubai, arguably India's only official property show," MCHI exhibition committee chairman Bandish Ajmera said.
Recent movements in the global currency market have made Indian real estate very lucrative for NRIs, Ajmera added, "and we hope that serious buyers will take advantage of the same."
"The show aims at providing a safe and secure platform to expatriate Indians as they explored the vast opportunities available in the Indian real estate industry, especially in Mumbai and the MMR," MCHI exhibition committee co-chairperson Manju Yagnik said.
"Leading developers are participating, and they showcase residential and commercial properties, plots and bungalows from across the MMR as also a select few other cities. On Day 2 of the event, we witnessed walk-ins which comprised serious buyers, which in a way is continuation of the trend witnessed on the inaugural day. It is heartening to see over two thirds of the visitors are serious about buying property in India, especially in the locations which the exhibition offers."
"MCHI's India Realty Expo 2012 Dubai is 'official', and the number of serious visitors on the inaugural day as also on Day 2 of the event suggests NRIs find Indian real estate an attractive option. Feedback from NRI visitors so far suggests they have benefited immensely through MCHI's past exhibitions, which are the only official Property exhibitions held worldwide and have bought peace of mind for NRIs by making the right choice in purchasing properties from our shows. We are proud that we have played a key role in facilitating such a process for the NRI community at large and we strive for bettering the same this year," MCHI chief executive officer Zubin Mehta said.
The MCHI ensures complete transparency and assurance to customers throughout the entire transaction and guarantee them the amenities and specifications as promised during the deal. In the event of any dispute regarding any booking done at the show, the consumer can approach MCHI to assist them in resolving the same.
India Realty Expo 2012 Dubai, which concludes today, is being held in association with Khaleej Times.
