(MENAFN - Arab News) Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Mansour Bin Miteb will be among the speakers confirmed for the upcoming Saudi Infrastructure 2011, Forum & Exhibition. The event, which will focus on adding value and building commercial opportunities, will take place at The Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events, from Dec. 11-14. CWC and Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions are its organizers.
Other speakers at the event include Habib M. Zein Al-Abideen, deputy minister, Ministry of Municipal & Rural Affairs; Sulaiman Al-Turki, acting deputy minister for economic affairs, Ministry of Finance; Musleh Hamid Al-Otaibi, chief executive, Royal Commission in Jubail; Majid Y. Al-Mugla, vice president of project management, Saudi Aramco; Raymond Bourdeaux, lead infrastructure specialist, World Bank; Tariq Alshuhayeb, chief strategy officer, MODON; and Walker Kimball, general manager, Infrastructure & Aviation, Bechtel.
The event will showcase major investment opportunities and infrastructure projects, as well as highlighting how Saudi Arabia supports foreign investment and maintains a trusted stability within the global market. With the fastest growing and already largest economy in the Arab world, Saudi Arabia is an investment destination with a population soon to be in excess of 30 million. Saudi Arabia has unrivalled natural resources and are investing these resources in the industries and infrastructure of tomorrow.
"It is a testament to Prince Mansour's commitment to industrial expansion that this important event falls under his auspices and his ministry's patronage, and will showcase some of the projects that he is ultimately responsible for. It is an exceptionally exciting time for new and established contractors across Saudi Arabia and we aim to showcase the wealth of opportunities on offer," Peter Newton, VP Middle East, The CWC Group, said.
Future Pipe, China Railway Construction Corporation, Parsons, Al-Khodari, CRA International, Al-Muhaidib, Yousef Bin Ahmed Kanoo, Shairco, ACWA Pipe, Schulz Group, Saudi Pipe Systems and Bravo are already confirmed as sponsors and exhibitors, the organizers added.
