(MENAFN Press) Leading realty developer, TAMEER HOLDING, will be unveiling the design of its 600 meter-plus, Sheikh Zayed Road skyscraper during this year's Cityscape in Dubai, following an intensive global design competition that brought several global offices of design firm, Atkins into competition against each other for the privilege of designing the landmark project.
Submitted by the Atkins Dubai office, the design for the 100 storey-plus Anara tower is heavily infused with arts and culture in both form and function, with a world-renowned art gallery that is set to anchor New Dubai as the scene for arts and culture.
CEO of TAMEER, Ghassan Sakhnini, said the design of 'Anara' Tower represents the convergence of arts and culture in Dubai, in line with the firm's desire to produce a form that would be instantly recognizable on the local, regional and architectural scale. "Like Dubai itself, great art comes from great vision. 'Anara' is not only a masterpiece in its own right, it is designed to enhance the well being of all residents and it is destined to become the most coveted address in Dubai. 'Anara' represents the future of what is already the most future-forward metropolis in the world"; Mr. Sakhnini said.
Based on current world rankings, the colossal mixed use project will be amongst the world's tallest structures and will comprise an extravagant mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom luxury apartments as well as palatial penthouses with at least one of the penthouses planned to include a private elevator and a private pool and will be the most valuable in the Middle East.
Hosting some of the world's finest shops, boutiques and purveyors of fine goods, Anara will be complemented with picturesque retail space customized in synergy with its intended Art Gallery. Also intended for the tower is a 5 star boutique hotel with 250 rooms and luxury branded hotel apartments, all equipped with opulent amenities.
In addition to its outstanding façade, the design of Anara will answer the environmental challenges posed to modern day skyscrapers by maximizing water and energy efficiency; and potentially including renewable sources of energy, in addition to conforming to the internationally recognized LEED certification requirements.
As testimony to its commitment to Anara and its unrelenting belief in its success, TAMEER will be moving its global headquarters into the tower when completed.
"Not only is it situated on some of the most prime real estate in the world, 'Anara' addresses the most pivotal attributes of great structures, including aesthetic creativity, sustainability, efficiency, buildability and greenery; and we at TAMEER are confident that upon completion, the project will truly make its mark in all aspects of development"; Mr. Sakhnini said.
TAMEER awarded Atkins' Dubai office as the winner of the design competition that attracted vast global interest with Atkins teams based in Dubai, London and Hong Kong all vying for the project with each team headed by internationally renowned design leaders responsible for some of the world's most eye-catching and famed landmarks including the Burj Al Arab, Bahrain World Trade Center and Teda Tower.
Apart from its aesthetic and functional design qualities 'Anara' will span over 5 million square feet, towering over the city skyline and providing breathtaking views of Marsa Dubai as it lies in proximity to the most luxurious retail, dining and leisure precincts and sophisticated commercial and academic hubs.
