The General Manager, Public Relations of the Saudi Arabian Airlines, Qahtan Balkhair has said that at present Internet service system has been installed on one of the company's 747-468 aircraft for the purpose of the system's evaluation by the concerned departments and training of the crew in its use. A period of six months has been fixed for this experimental stage, after which Internet and E-mail service will be offered for all passengers on Saudi Airline's aircraft.
Saudi Arabian Airline has also completed 421 periodic checks on its aircraft during the first nine months of the current year, in addition to completing half working age overhaul of its 300 type Airbus aircraft. These works were completed at the airline's own facilities in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah.
