(MENAFN - Asia Pulse) SOLiD Technologies today announced that it has entered into an agreement with the Sprint Custom Network Solutions (CNS) team to provide converged multi-carrier Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enterprise customers and public safety agencies.

Under this new agreement, both companies will work together to provide Sprint customers the option to include reliable first-responder radio coverage inside their buildings using the innovative Fiber DAS Platform from SOLiD.

Developed through an alliance with TriPower, a leading national in-building wireless integrator, the SOLiD DAS uses advanced filtering technology to reduce overall customer costs and mitigate interference between all US wireless operators and the public safety community. By converging required cellular and public safety frequencies over a single managed platform, customers avoid the problems and costs associated with parallel systems.

"SOLiD's entire organization is proud to have Sprint's support for this first-to-market DAS solution," said Seung Hee Lee, CEO of SOLiD Technologies. "Our R&D and manufacturing teams look forward to leveraging our technical experience to add even more 3G and 4G functionality to the SOLiD Fiber DAS Platform."

To protect citizens and first-responders alike, many jurisdictions such as Bellevue, WA are now implementing indoor wireless coverage requirements including those referenced in the National Fire Prevention Act (NFPA 2009) Annex O code. The SOLiD Fiber DAS Platform supports all frequencies from 100 MHz to 2.5 GHz across a single strand fiber backbone and is the only FCC certified, UL approved, NEMA 4-rated, converged multi-carrier DAS available in the US.

The Hyatt Regency Bellevue, WA, recently chose the SOLiD DAS to deliver 700 MHz public safety coverage combined with push-to-talk and 3G services from Sprint throughout its $185 million expansion at the prestigious Bellevue Collection.
