(MENAFN - Times of Oman) The Tender Board yesterday awarded tenders to the tune of RO97.343,518 million, during its 14th meeting of the year.

The tenders issued include:

Implementation of water supply network to the Niyabat Al Jabel Al Akhdhar in the wilayat of Nizwa (RO.28,918,980).

Construction of Al Khuwair Wastewater Network in the wilayat of Bausher in the Muscat Governorate (2nd phase) (RO29,986,731).

Drilling of water wells and construction of graded roads for the agricultural development project at Dokha area in the Dhofar Governorate.

Preparation of a comprehensive national strategy for food security in the Sultanate.

Construction of the Legal Affairs Ministry's building (RO5,396,701).

The additional works for the wilayats of Ibra, Al Qhabil and Bidiyah Water Supply Project (RO5,607,061).

Construction of power transformers station (125MVA) and (132/33KV) at Al Misfah in the wilayat of Bausher in the Muscat Governorate (RO4,637,350).

The additional works for construction of the Al Sharqiyah region Water Supply Network and associated works (RO3,774,841).

The additional works for repairing the damages resulting from the adverse weather conditions on Asilah/Ras Al Hadd road in Al Sharqiyah region (RO2,078,192). The additional works for the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs building (RO1,800,402).

The additional works for the construction of the flyover at Al Hadd area and the road from the port area to the Aluminium Smelter at the Sohar Industrial Port (RO1,799,440).

Supply technicians for operation and maintenance of machines and equipment at Sultan Qaboos Hospital and health units in the Dhofar Governorate (RO1,558,334).

The additional works for the expansion of Bausher Water Tank and associated works (RO1,424,134).

The additional works for the construction of 18 housing units for citizens at Zhighi village in the wilayat of Diba in the Musandam Governorate (RO1,404,000).

Construction of Al Khadra new Power Plant in the Al Wusta region (RO1,340,000).

Expansion of Diba Water Desalination Plant in the Musandam Governorate (RO1,293,791).

Supplying extra computers and accessories to the Ministry of Education schools for the academic year 2009/2010 (RO1,286,124).

Recruiting addition English language teachers for the Applied Science Colleges of the Higher Education Ministry for the academic year 2009/2010 (RO818,640).

Construction of a rehab health centre in the wilayat of Liwa in the Al Batinah region (RO769,945); draft studies related to developing the state's financial system (RO655,429); additional works for the development and beautification of coastal areas at Karsha, Qhastinyah and Tawa'hi in the wilayat of Diba in the Musandam governorate (RO581,398).

Other tenders include:

The purchase of 42 vehicles for the offices of the walis (RO541,200); development of land for an exhibition ground in the wilayat of Sohar (RO476,660); construction of new 33/11kv electric transformer plant (2x10 MFA) at Turaif Al Makhamira area in the wilayat of Shinas in the Al Batina region (RO469,000); supply and installation of equipment and tools in the display hall at the scientific centre in Rass Al Jinz (RO.467,572) and the tourist service project at Dama in the Al Sharqiyah region (RO383,035).

Additional works for the potable water transportation project for Nizwa network by strengthening the pumping station at Firq in the wilayat of Nizwa in the Al Dakhiliyah region (R.372,948); additional works for the consultancy services to make a feasibility study and provide detailed designs, as well as, supervise the works related to the implementation of protection dams against flood risks at Wadi Udai in the Musandam governorate (RO.355,640) and transporting 150,000 gallons of potable water from the tanker filling stations in the wilayat of Sumail to Qaryatain, Seema, Maqzzah and Wadi Mahram villages in the Al Dakhiliyah region (RO325,800).

Supply of laboratory equipment for heart surgery at the Royal Hospital (RO322,805); supply of vehicles to the Justice Ministry (RO314,798); provision for consultancy services of the dual-carriageway project from Al Zaroub roundabout to Al Buraimi hospital roundabout in Buraimi (RO312,300); supply of blankets and bed sheets for the different health units (RO302,765); supply of low tension cables for expansion plans in 2010 (RO287,370); and the supply, installation and testing of the new 2 MW, 11kv diesel generator for the power plants at the wilayat of Madha in the Musandam governorate (RO281,950).

The consultancy services projects to enlarge Sur power plant in the Al Sharqiyah region, 220kv (RO251,800)' additional works for the construction of scientific centre and museum in Rass Al Jinz in the niyabat of Rass Al Hadd in the wilayat of Sur (RO170,778); provision of legal consultancy services for build, own and operate (BOO) project for a new independent power and water desalination plant in the wilayat of Al Duqum.
