Kuwait's Sulaibikhat clinches first win in Asian Handball League

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Sulaibikhat handball team clinched its first victory in the 12th Asian Men's Handball Club League Championship, defeating Lebanese Al-Sadd 35-30.
Sulaibikhat succeeded in coming back to the game after it was trailing Al-Saad 15-17 by end of the first half.
The Kuwaiti team, one of the candidates to win the championship, managed to close the gap against Al-Saad thanks to its skillful and experienced players.
In the same Group, Al-Ahli of Jordan defeated Al-Jaish (Army) of Iraq by 36-26.
Sulaibikhat is to meet Al-Ahli on Monday.
Al-Arabi of Kuwait will play its first match when it meets Isfahan of Iran on Monday. Both teams are in Group B which consists of Al-Hussein of Jordan and defending champion Al-Wehda of Saudi Arabia.
