(MENAFN Press) IIR Middle East, a regional leader in facilitating skill development through professional conferences, announces the production of Middle East Public Relations Congress and Brand Summit 2009, to be held in Dubai, UAE, from November 8-12 at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel.
As businesses reflect on the cumulative events of 2009, O2 Public Relations and O2 Branding—two agencies within the award-winning O2 Network based in Dubai—will act as Headline Sponsors of this week’s Middle East Public Relations Congress and Brand Summit 2009, respectively.
Mohammed Johmani, CEO and Founder of O2 Public Relations, will be speaking on the opening day of the PR Congress, while Nermin Habib, Creative Strategist for O2 Branding, will also be hosting a discussion at Brand Summit 2009.
Commenting on the events, Johmani says: “As one of the few independent marketing communication networks based in the Middle East, we want to provide international companies with a better understanding of local practices, and support the adaptation of international standards within the local market. There is still a lot of room for improvement, which is why we have come back as the Headline Sponsor for this year’s PR Congress and are proud to act as the new Headline Sponsor for Brand Summit 2009.”
These events are just two of the many conferences that the O2 Network has supported over the last 12 months. The recent Leaders in Dubai Business Forum featured an O2 Network exhibition in which the agency walked participants through the development of its newest creative campaigns. In March 2009, the O2 Network hosted a one-day forum in Dubai titled Hot Topics in Branding in coordination with Australian marketing firm The One Centre.
The O2 Network was also instrumental in the production of last year’s “Global Entrepreneurship Week” in Manama, Bahrain; an event celebrated worldwide that saw thousands of students and professionals in attendance. O2 Public Relations was the Headline Sponsor of PR Congress 2008 and also sponsored Brand Summit 2008.
“Staying Alive” is the theme for this year’s Brand Summit 2009, which saw over 150 participants attend in last year. Across the hall, discussions at this year’s PR Congress will focus on reputation and crisis management. In addition to executive-led discussions, this year’s conferences will also organize one-on-one meetings between industry experts, and will offer half-day intensive clinics conducted by leaders in the field.
