Russia's gas output increases in October 

(MENAFN) Russia's gas monopoly Gasprom said that it has increased its production to meet rising local and European demand for natural gas, AP reported.

The company produced 44.913 billion cubic meters of gas in October, showing an increase of 20.8 percent against September. Demand for gas in Russia and Europe is increasing ahead of the winter season.

Europeans slashed their gas imports in the first half of the year expecting a price decline by the end of this year, but are now replenishing their stocks for the winter.
