(MENAFN - Morocco Business News) The Moroccan authorities will close 267 bank branches across the kingdom for failing to respond to security measures, Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa said earlier this week.
This decision would prompt banks' executives to adopt the security systems that complete the means that the satete has mobilised, explained the minister in the House of Advisors.
The number of Bank robberies has increased lately in Morocco, as 40 robberies have taken place over the past years, including 5 since January 2009.
To face up to this situation, the Interior ministry has adopted a "participatory approach" with banks to put an end to these robberies, Benmoussa added.
