"Egypt will largely contribute to several projects, policies and coordination efforts," he said.

He said the summit would be preceded by a discussion session regard crucial issues that concerned Arabs, such as unemployment, poverty, investment and social development.

Khairat said that "Kuwait Declaration" was expected to name a number of projects that would upgrade the standards and qualifications of Arabs to achieve economic integration.

The official said that the world economic crisis was of "tsunami dimensions" and would have an impact on the upcoming summit, noting that the Arab economic summit was scheduled to be held before economic crisis occurred.
