Adobe Systems Incorporated has released the Adobe® LiveCycle™ Enterprise Suite (ES) Update 1, a significant enhancement to the LiveCycle ES technology platform for businesses and governments to effectively engage with their customers, citizens, and partners inside and outside the organisation.
LiveCycle ES Update 1’s new components for rapid development of content-rich applications, automated PDF conversion of CAD design data and new Adobe® Solution Accelerators will help current Middle Eastern users to expedite deployment of enterprise applications.
“Customers’ satisfaction has always been Adobe’s top priority, especially for those at the enterprise level. With LiveCycle ES Update 1, we are giving customers the ability to deliver content-rich engagement applications faster via new capabilities and productivity enhancements,” said Andrew Lindstrom, Regional Manager for Adobe in MEA and MED.
LiveCycle ES Update 1 adds Adobe® LiveCycle™ Content Services ES, a fully integrated set of content services, and Adobe® LiveCycle™ PDF Generator 3D ES, a solution for automating the creation and assembly of PDF documents from engineering product data. This update also integrates the capabilities of Adobe Flex® 3 and Adobe AIR™, while leveraging the ubiquity and reach of Adobe Flash® Player and Adobe Reader® to enable a new class of applications that easily connect people inside and outside organisations to information and processes.
“With the continuous economic growth in the Middle East region, most enterprises and government entities are using latest technologies such as the LiveCycle ES to improve the efficiency of regional e-government and business operations and enabling them for faster transition to knowledge-based economies,” said Dave Jones, Enterprise Regional Manager, MEA. “The LiveCycle ES Update 1 integrates existing systems and simplifies deployment of applications with reduced paperwork, allowing accelerated decision-making and helping to ensure regulatory compliance.”
LiveCycle Content Services ES enables quick creation of integrated application with enterprise content allowing a lower-cost, extensible way for cross-company and cross-organisation processes. This component offers organisations comprehensive capabilities to collaborate on, create, store, manage, and secure content as a cohesive part of their end to end engagement applications.
The second solution component, LiveCycle PDF Generator 3D ES, allows organizations to share two- and three-dimensional information across the product creation process for smoother communication, accelerated development cycles and lower costs. Middle East product designers can create rich, complex PDF files with full features and measurements still retained when viewed through Adobe Reader. This new feature automates the conversion and integration of more than 40 CAD and other formats, which may then be policy protected and forwarded for review and collaboration.
Adobe also released the new Adobe® Solution Accelerators, a deployable solution framework and best practices methodologies to help organisations more rapidly develop applications that better engage with end users. The Solution Accelerators include the Enrolment Solution Accelerator and the Correspondence Management Solution Accelerator. These have particular applicability to financial services and government organisations when enrolling customers or citizens in services and personalising correspondence communications. Adobe Solution Accelerators aim to decrease development time of applications and increase return on investment for Adobe customers.
Adobe LiveCycle ES is currently available worldwide while the LiveCycle ES Update 1 is available this month. For pricing and more information please visit: www.adobe.com/livecycle. Adobe Solution Accelerators are expected to become available in late-Summer 2008 and will be free of charge.
