(MENAFN) A spokesman for Dana Gas stated that the company has finalized several contracts including the Strategic Alliance Protocol in Erbil between the Prime Minister of Kurdistan and the Executive Chairman of Dana Gas and affiliates from Crescent Petroleum, Gulf News reported.
The conditions of the Strategic Alliance Protocol consist of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum assessing the natural gas resources in Iraqi Kurdistan with the goal of optimizing the Kurdish natural gas resources. The protocol also includes the establishment of the Kurdistan Gas City project which will encourage private sector investment and the utilization of regional resources.
Dubai's Dana Gas has been chosen in a service agreement to develop, process and transport natural gas from the Khor Mor Gas Field in order to supply natural gas to fuel electrical power generation facilities in Iraq's northern city of Erbil.
