(MENAFN) Group Chairman Magnum Holdings said that Bahrain is getting on a giant operation by hosting the Gulf Iraqi Expo (GIX), the first trade show ever organized by the Iraqi government outside the country in 2007 targeting 600 exhibitors in different sectors of trade from the Gulf and Middle East, Bahrain Tribune reported.

More than 12,000 visitors from Iraq and the Gulf region with more than 900 brand names will meet with 300 decision-makers from the Iraqi Government representing the 28 Iraqi Ministries, covering all governmental and private sectors in Iraq.

The Chairman added that it is not necessary that Bahrain should benefit from this event. The group is supporting Iraq as a brotherly nation to the GCC countries and it is part of our duty to stand by them and support. The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry has invited exhibitors and visitors from Bahrain and other GCC and Arab countries to take part.

However, as part of the trade show, the GIX management will be organizing a business conference aimed at providing information and educational modules to attendees and exhibitors. One of the main features of the conference will be designed networking meetings specific for each industrial and trade sector.
