(MENAFN - Arab Times) Boubyan Bank (the Fastest Growing Bank in Kuwait) launched a program for qualifying branch managers in cooperation with Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST) with which an Agreement has been previously signed to act as "the Exclusive Academic Partner" for Boubyan Bank in Kuwait. The program aims at developing the capabilities and enhancing the expertise of branch managers by receiving the MBA degree from GUST.

The program launch was attended by Boubyan Bank's Chairman & MD, Adel Abdul-Wahab Al-Majed, GM - Human Resources Group, Adel Al-Hammad, GM - Consumer Banking Group, Abdullah Al-Najran Al-Tuwaijri and Prof. Essam Al-Maghrabi, Director of MBA Program at GUST as well as a number of the Bank's executives and participants in the program.

In his speech at the launch of the four-month program, Adel Al-Hammad, GM- Human Resources Group stressed that the program's objective is to develop the skills of branch managers being the basic line for contact with customers and the public in order to reflect the true image of Boubyan Bank.
"It has become quite important to intensify this kind of programs and courses through which the Bank seeks to enhance the skills of branch managers in a way that will be positively reflected on customer service quality which is one of the priorities in its plans, and thus Boubyan becomes a pioneer institution creating highly qualified and experienced bankers able to push the Bank forward ahead of its competitors in the region," added Al-Hammad.

Al-Hammad also explained that the mentioned Agreement includes organizing a training program for Boubyan branch managers with high-level content encompassing many technical skills they need, whether financial or technological, in addition to specialized courses in management, team leadership and teamwork under the supervision of a professional training team accredited by international institutions.
"This program is basically distinguished to other programs by giving branch managers the opportunity to obtain 55% of the MBA credits from GUST through the recently established Boubyan ITQAN Academy," Al-Hammad indicated.
Branch managers qualification program is one of the programs of ITQAN Academy which was established by the Bank and started its activities last July, representing a qualitative leap in the area of administrative and professional training and development as it gives the Bank's staff the opportunity to obtain a high-level academic degree (MBA) after successfully passing the preset curricula of training courses and programs.

This step is part of the Bank's plan for developing its human resources as its gives special attention to the training of national labor through the academic qualification its provides to them in accordance with international standards that contribute to achieving outputs that are up to the Bank's objectives and aspirations while being in compliance with the Islamic Shari'ah.
The Academy provides the Bank's staff with training opportunities throughout a whole year in many fields comprising specialized training programs in financial management, financial statements analysis, business administration, communication skills, human resources development, as well as advanced, distinguished programs in customer service and professional sales of banking products.

Boubyan Bank strives to be the employer of choice for branch managers by providing a work environment that encourages the development of young capabilities and gives opportunities for career development to skilled trainees in a carefully thought-out academic way under the supervision of a professional training team accredited by international institutions who participated in providing training courses to international companies in North America, Europe and GCC countries. In addition, ITQAN Academy programs are based on Blended Learning Approach which includes training courses, on-job training, rotation among departments, guidance and instruction, e-learning and assessment centers.
