(MENAFN - Jordan Times) Saudi Arabia on Saturday pledged to continue helping Jordan address challenges and maintain constant coordination with the Kingdom on various regional developments.
The remarks were made by Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz as he received Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, who conveyed a message from His Majesty King Abdullah to the Saudi leader, congratulating him on the 7th anniversary of his ascension to the throne and thanking him for constant support.
In the letter, King Abdullah expressed keenness to enhance Jordanian-Saudi ties in all fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
His Majesty also expressed appreciation for the Gulf Cooperation Council's recent decision to allocate funds for Jordan's development project for the next five years, according to Petra.
During the meeting with Judeh, attended by Saudi Crown Prince Nayef Ben Abdul Aziz and Defence Minister Salman Ben Abdul Aziz and a number of royal family members, the Saudi monarch "expressed his deep appreciation for Jordan's wise leadership and all Jordanians, pledging that Saudi Arabia will always stand by Jordan".
The foreign minister took part in a major ceremony held on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the Saudi King's ascension to the throne.
Upon arrival to Jeddah, Judeh also met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faisal and discussed means to enhance bilateral relations as well as the latest regional developments.
