The German Medical Care Firm, Fresenius, reported Thursday that net attributable income expanded 68% in the first quarter to 370 million, supported by sales which rose 9% to 3.25 billion.


Net earnings per share grew 67% to 1.22, while adjusted earnings per share added 10% to 0.80.


Ben Lipps, Chief Executive Officer of Fresenius Medical Care, said "our first quarter results show an excellent start for the year with both the North American as well as the International segment continuing their strong operating performance. On this basis we clearly confirm our previous guidance for the full year 2012 expecting another record year in terms of revenue and earnings."
