 | Municipality and Urban Planning Minister Opens "Project Qatar 2012" Exhibition  | |

(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) HE the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Khalifa Al Thani, opened on Monday at the Doha Exhibition Centre, the International Trade Fair IX for the materials, equipment and techniques of construction and environment conservation "Project Qatar 2012", in the presence of a crowd of diplomats, businessmen and those interested in building and construction sector in Qatar and the region.
HE the Minister cut the opening ribbon and toured the various pavilions which feature around 2100 exhibitors from 48 countries.
HE the Minister said in a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony that the Urban Plan of the State was presented to the Cabinet as a general outline.
HE the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani expressed his satisfaction with the growing number of exhibitors at the Project Qatar this year, and said that it reflects the reputation of Qatar and its economic growth citing the World Cup 2022 to be organized by Qatar and its related future projects .
He also noted that the Exhibition's organizational aspects are evolving and getting better every year.
