Abu Dhabi seeks US investment in industrial zones 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Abu Dhabi's top businessmen have invited US companies to invest in its booming industrial zones.

Headed by Mohammed Thani Al Rumeithi, President of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ADCCI delegation to the USA held a meeting with the President and the Board Members of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce. The two sides discussed the means of developing investment and industrial relations between Emirati companies and establishments with their American counterparts.

More than 200 American industrial, services and trade companies attended the meeting. Al Rumeithi delivered a presentation about the available investment opportunities and the futuristic plans of Abu Dhabi which aim at developing all the sectors, especially those indicated by the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, the most important is energy, petrochemicals, healthcare, tourism, education, media, transportation, telecommunications and aviation.

He noted that these sectors provide great opportunities for US companies to invest in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi which has become one of the most important centers for investment attraction in the region.

"Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 focuses on initiating a sustainable and comprehensive economic development and diversifying income resources of Abu Dhabi through increasing the contribution of more non-oil sectors in the GDP of the emirate," the president said.Al Rumeithi invited US investment in Abu Dhabi to start joint industrial projects. The President of the ADCCI stressed the importance of diversifying and increasing the fields of cooperation between American and Emirati companies and take advantage of the facilities provided by the public authorities and their support to foreign companies, especially in facilitating the means of obtaining licenses and receiving other services.
