(MENAFN Press) 100 Days-to-Go Until London 2012 Olympics Kick Off on 27 July;

More Than 4 Billion TV Viewers Expected to Watch 'Best Ever' Olympic Games

Dubai, United Arab Emirates
100 days-to-go and millions of people all around the UK are getting ready to welcome the world to celebrate the athletes and festivities of the London 2012 Olympic Games which kick off on 27 July, say Dubai-based UK tourist officials.
Outside the UK and across the Arabian Gulf, 15,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes from more than 200 countries are now in the final countdown to selection and preparation for the London 2012 Games.
"We are getting really, really close now to the start of the much-anticipated London 2012 Olympic Games, in what is expected to be the best ever staging of the Olympic summer games," said Dubai-based Carol Maddison of the UK's tourist authority, VisitBritain.
"For Gulf-based visitors to Britain this summer, there is just so much on offer, in the way of sport and entertainment. Of course, there are still tickets available to witness live the splendor of the Olympic games, but there are hundreds of related events and viewing opportunities, in addition to musical acts and world-class entertainment taking place across Britain."
Dubai-based VisitBritain officials say key London 2012 Olympic Games dates include:

18 May “ Olympic Flame arrives in the UK
19 May “ 27 July “ Torch Relay across the UK
27 July “ Olympic Games Opening Ceremony
12 Aug “ Olympic Games Closing Ceremony
29 Aug “ Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony
9 Sept “ Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony

VisitBritain officials have said that more than four billion people are expected to watch the London 2012 Olympic Games on television, including tens of millions across the Middle East region.
