(MENAFN Press) Amman, April 2012 - As part of its belonging to arts and culture, Umniah partnered with the well-known Jordanian composer and pianist, Zade Dirani, who will represent the Company as its Brand Ambassador.

Umniah will be presenting several musical events entitled A Jordanian Dream in collaboration with Zade Dirani and a musical orchestra. The three concerts are scheduled to take place on 30th April, 1st and 2nd May, 2012, at the International Academy Amman (IAA) theatre. Umniah will also partner with Dirani during more concerts across the year.

"We at Umniah firmly believe that art and culture represent a country's civilization and our partnership with Zade Dirani, who is a symbol of refined music, corresponds with our goal to expose the local community to the finer aspects of art. It also reflects our belonging to youth and creativity, and emphasizes our genuine interest in supporting young local talents and encouraging them to hone and develop their skills," commented Ihab Hinnawi, CEO of Umniah.

In turn, Dirani said, "I am delighted to collaborate with Umniah, a telecom leader with a genuine interest in supporting and developing the local community through CSR activities and programs that I am honored to be a part of. I would like to thank Umniah for supporting the arts and culture movement, and I hope that this one-year partnership will successfully promote art and music within our community."

Zade Dirani is a Jordanian composer and pianist. He attended the National Music Conservatory in Amman and graduated in 2002 from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, after which he released his first album. To date, Dirani has released three albums entitled Zade, Roads to You and Beautiful World, each reflecting a different phase in his musical journey.

The compositions that Dirani performed during his monumental musical concert, entitled One Night in Jordan: A Concert for Peace, topped four different billboard charts for best-selling albums in the United States.

Dirani has performed in front of a number of prominent world leaders including Their Majesties King Abdullah Bin Al Hussein II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of England, Nelson Mandela and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dirani was awarded the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee's Distinguished Achievements Award for his work promoting global understanding through arts. He also received the Jordanian Ministry of Education Award for the Arts, in addition to the Arab-American Music, Art and Literature (AMAL) Award.

In his continued pursuit of cross-cultural understanding through music, Dirani launched The Zade Foundation for International Peace and Understanding in 2005. The non-profit organization is aimed at helping young musicians share with the world a deeper understanding of their culture by offering them a unique opportunity to expand their roles from musicians into proactive peace builders and future community leaders.
