(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Two jobless men - a stateless and a Yemeni - allegedly molested a 17-year-old male student in the house of one of them, a court heard on Monday.

The Yemeni, aged 19, allegedly held the student down while the stateless person, aged 23, molested him.

The two also allegedly physically assaulted the Yemeni student and consumed liquor.

They faced charges of molestation, assault and use of liquor in the Court of First Instance.

According to the court records, the incident happened in Al Qusais in October last year when the two defendants intercepted the student who was walking home.

The student said he saw the duo accompanied by about four others but he ignored them and kept going. When he was about to reach home, he was taken by surprise as one of them pushed him from behind. As he fell down, they beat him up and carried him in their car's trunk.

They took him to the Yemeni defendant's house and carried him to a room on the upper floor. There, they assaulted him again and forced him to drink liquor until he passed out.

When he woke up about three hours later, he found himself naked and by then, the assailants were on the ground floor. The stateless defendant molested him and then they carried him to the bathroom and allowed him to freshen up.

As he came out, he managed to run away and he told his father about what had happened. His father lodged a complaint at the police station.

An Emirati police lieutenant said they found a video on the mobile phone of the stateless person showing them assaulting the teen. When confronted with the video, the stateless admitted that he assaulted the student and consumed liquor.

The forensic medicine report showed scratches and marks of assault on the victim's body and that the student was dragged through the floor.

The duo admitted during police and Public Prosecution interrogation that they molested and assaulted the student.

In the video, a naked teen was seen being slapped and punched in the face.
