(MENAFN - Arab Times) Police are looking for two youths who allegedly tried to kidnap a girl in Hawalli area, reports Al-Rai daily.
The girl, a student of the Business Institute, was coming out of the college when the youths blocked her way and tried to bundle her into their German car. The girl, however, gave them a fight and screamed for help, forcing the youths to make a hasty retreat.
Eyewitnesses noted down the plate number of the suspect's vehicle and gave it to police.
Kuwaiti cheated: A Kuwaiti man filed a breach of trust case against a compatriot at Umm Al-Haiman Police Station and said he was swindled to the tune of KD 9,800, reports Al-Anba daily.
The complainant said he met the suspect at a diwaniya where the latter advised him to import vehicles from a GCC country, saying the difference in prices was about KD 3,000.
The complainant said he gave KD 9,800 to the suspect to buy a particular model vehicle for him but the cheat just vanished with the money. He added that he has several witnesses to support his claim.
Shop broken into: A thief broke into a hardware shop in Fahaheel and stole tools worth KD 400 and KD 80 in cash, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Criminal Evidences Department men have lifted fingerprints from the scene and investigations are going on.
