(MENAFN - Arab News) Some voices are calling for banning single youth from entering malls! On Twitter and Facebook, quite a number of Saudis did not welcome what happened in one of Riyadh's biggest malls last Thursday.

The tone flows in one direction; that is: Saudi youth are not ready for such a change! Some extremist went much beyond as they foretold expected harassments in the near future!

Again, back to assumptions! It is as if chaos is 'forbidden' and possibilities are "cursed"! A reliance on inflating expected accidents is widening the messages calling to ban youth from a civil right! I wonder, is it our culture that facilitates such an imagination or is it a certain ideology? Either ways, many could be mislead! Myths are never true, not unless they are tested and proved real.

The assumptive mind is usually emotional, and emotions are hardly taken as clues! Education could help in this perspective. Reminding youth of an Islamic principle that says: 'People are enemies of the unknown!' We need an urgent interference aiming to aware the social consciousness. Readiness, sometimes, is a result of such expensive experiences.
