UAE- Vampire game goes too far, driver heads to jail 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) A Sri Lankan driver, 21, was sentenced to six months in jail on Monday for molesting a six-year-old schoolgirl while playing 'a vampire game' with her.

The driver will be deported after serving his jail term as per the order of the Court of First Instance. He is believed to have kissed and bit the girl on her cheek, neck and thigh in July last year. He has been on trial on a molestation charge. The verdict is subject to appeal within 15 days at the Court of Appeal.

The girl, a British national, said during the Public Prosecution investigation that she asked the defendant to play with her. The accused then chose to play the vampire game. While playing with her he bit and kissed her. The girl's mother, a 27-year-old saleswoman, filed a police complaint after spotting marks on her daughter's body. The mother had left her girl at her father's house. The driver, who is the friend of their housemaid, played with her the vampire game, the girl told her mother. He kissed and bit her on many parts of her body.

The mother called her husband and asked him whether he had seen what had happened, but he had not. The mother came to know from her girl that the incident happened while her father was away. A physician who examined the girl at the paediatric clinic of a local hospital two days after the incident spotted marks and bruises on her cheek, neck and thigh. He said the marks could have resulted from kissing and biting.

The defendant admitted having kissed the girl but said it happened as he was playing with her.
