Qatar-Oman Joint Economic, Investment Committee Holds Meeting 

(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and HE Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawai bin Abdullah on Wednesday co-chaired a meeting for the Qatar-Oman joint economic and investment governmental committee. The meeting was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers.

It was also attended from the Omani side by members of the official delegation.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister welcomed the Omani minister and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to Qatar, expressing his satisfaction over the continuous evolution witnessed in the fraternal relations between both countries, thanks to the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman.

His Excellency lauded the positive outcomes of the previous meetings that resulted in signing a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries in various cooperation fields including investment and economic areas and underscored other areas of cooperation and mutual coordination that contributed to enhancing joint cooperation.

He stressed on the importance of the existing fraternal ties and the determination to activate all bilateral cooperation agreements between the two states.

The meeting discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister hosted a dinner banquet in honour of HE the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and his accompanying delegation.
