(MENAFN - Arab Times) Lawyer Abeer Al-Fawaz said she has filed a petition with the Public Prosecution.

She explained the petition accuses a senior official at the Kuwait Municipality of abusing his position to falsify official documents and reports in favor of his relative without respect for the rights of others.

In her petition she alleges the official influenced the procedures through which his relative encroached on government property obstructing the view and movement of pedestrians on the public pavement.

She added the encroachment disfigures the general outlook of the area and endangers the lives of other people.

She emphasizes she had written to many concerned officials in the Municipality, as well as the area Mayor and officials of the Ministry of Interior, who went to the location and affirmed the violation.

She lamented when none of the officials took practical steps to resolve the issue she implored the Minister for Municipal Affairs to stop the violation and apply the regulations of his ministry on everybody without exception.
